Nipples of Venus

Ingredients
125g butter
1 2/3 cup icing (confectioner's) sugar
3/4 cup dessicated coconut (lightly toasted if you wish)
3/4 cup rolled oats
2 dessertspoons instant coffee (very fine)
125g dark chocolate
red glace cherries, halved

Method
Cream butter and sugar. This takes a while to mix in properly and until it does, it appears as though the icing sugar will never mix in. DO NOT BE TEMPTED TO PUT IN ANY MORE BUTTER. You'll get it to a crumbly stage, then it will go to a smooth creamy paste. That's what you want.

Mix in coconut, rolled oats and coffee.

Roll TEASPOONFULS into balls. You don't want these too large— the half glace cherry has to look big on them. Remember, they're the nipples of Venus, not the mammaries of Bathsheba. They should be slightly smaller than a cherry tomato. You should get about 40 or more.

Refrigerate until firm (even just half an hour will do.) Melt dark chocolate and drizzle over balls. While chocolate is still soft, top with half a glace cherry. Store in refrigerator.
